The board and I are looking forward to a great year of speakers and activities within our great community. This chapter has been active for more than 30 years and the current board of directors and I are striving to uphold the traditions and beliefs of the members current and past. There is a great lineup of distinguished lecturers, featured speakers and great meals at the Towers West lodge each month through the winter except December. We have our annual Christmas dinner and invite all to come and celebrate the season. This chapter celebrates all the volunteers that we need throughout the year. Without them the Crawfish Boil, Golf Tournament and Scholarships could not be done. More importantly, is the community itself that gives selflessly every year to support all of our functions. Our chapter also supports a student chapter in South Dakota that has sporting clays shoot each spring for their fundraiser. Our chapter is a source of pride for all of us on the board. Please contact any of us and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. For me, this is my 20th year being involved in this chapter. Our expenses included $37,240.50 for crawfish, $14,624 for beverages, and $37,061.90 for other food and supplies; this includes music, building rent, etc. After our expenses, we were able to give $62,200 to 15 local families who experienced financial hardship due to medical-related problems.
